Amanda was born and raised in the beautiful horse country of Kentucky. Amanda moved to Austin to pursue her masters degrees and fell in love with the Texas sunshine. At Baylor University she completed two masters degrees, a masters of social work and a masters of divinity. Her career has led her to work with adults in a psychiatric inpatient and intensive outpatient setting as well as children and adolescents in a long term residential treatment center. Amanda has worked with a variety of diagnoses including major depression, anxiety/panic, bipolar disorder, pyschosis, and chemical dependency.
Amanda’s strengths include working with individuals who feel emotionally chaotic and often turn to self injury and self medication to deal with overwhelming emotions as well as couples in high conflict relationships
